My paintings reflect my love and joy for art. I was born in Mexico where I obtained a degree in law, but I also started painting and studied art from an early age. I went to art school in my hometown of Morelia and was a student of the famous Mexican artist Alfredo Zalce. I later moved to Paris where I studied international law, painted and studied art. In 1981, love took me to Sweden. Here, I made a career as a legal counsellor and practiced and studied art part time. These days I devote myself entirely to art, I live and breath it daily, combining self studies and courses. My own atelier is located in Värmdö in Stockholm Archipelago.

With my art I want to convey both emotions and imagination. Our homes and workplaces need more color and intensity to contribute to creativity and joy of life. The paintings are made with warm colors and deep contrasts, and are inspired by my life in both Mexico and Sweden.

The motifs combine experiences, places, people, dreams and ideas that I draw from different environments. Some reflect women in different moods and situations. My landscapes are rough and abstract and capture the colors of the seasons. In my abstract motifs, it is up to the viewer to interpret. Other times, I find inspiration from my favorite motifs of my favorite artists.

I paint in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Sometimes I experiment with different techniques. My favorite is oil, which allows me to create soft, exciting colors. I gradually develop my technique through continuous courses, and rigorous study of art literature and artists that I admire.
